OSU-Washington County Extension/Washington County Master Gardeners will be presenting a weekly series of programs covering a wide array of gardening topics. These hour-long programs will be Tuesdays starting a 6 pm, and will be held in the Library’s Meeting Room A. These programs are free and will be open to the public to attend.
On August 31, Kloma Laws will present “Helping the Monarchs and Other Pollinators.” Kloma was in the first class of the Master Gardeners of Washington County, but has participated in gardening clubs for over 30 years. It was due to her love of wildflowers that she began to garden to help the wildlife. As President of the Bartlesville Council of Gardens, Kloma partnered with the City to promote Mayors for Monarchs to bring awareness and encourage citizens to plant more milkweed and nectar flowers. At her presentation, Kloma Laws will discuss ways families can help the monarchs and other pollinators.
When possible, these programs will be Facebook Live events on the Library’s Facebook page.
