OSU-Washington County Extension/Washington County Master Gardeners will be presenting a weekly series of programs covering a wide array of gardening topics. These hour-long programs will be Tuesdays starting a 6 pm, and will be held in the Library’s Meeting Room A. These programs are free and will be open to the public to attend.
On August 17, Laura Riley will present “Creating a Kitchen Garden.” Certified as a Master Gardener in both Texas and Oklahoma, Riley has been gardening over the past 25 years. In her lecture, she will share how even a novice gardener can be successful growing food on a small scale. She will cover the essentials of successful planning, planting, growing and harvesting a kitchen garden, with specific advice on what works for her in her Oklahoma backyard.
When possible, these programs will be Facebook Live events on the Library’s Facebook page.
