This September marks the 30^th anniversary of Library Card Sign Up Month! It has been held each September to mark the beginning of the school year as libraries work to remind parents and youth that signing up for a library card is the first step towards academic achievement and lifelong learning. Whether it’s homework help, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) programs, or family storytimes and game nights, a library card is a ticket to free educational resources and activities for students and their families.
